John Herndon joined the firm in 1984 and has been managing partner since 2003. He is actively engaged in the practice of law in the area of civil defense litigation, with a primary emphasis in the areas of medical malpractice claims, product liability claims and insurance defense. John brings to the table experience, tenacity and the unrelenting will to win to every case. His understanding of the law allows him to recognize and explain the many angles of litigation. In this regard, John is frequently called upon to speak to various legal and professional groups on issues including bad faith, insurance coverage and workplace liability.
When he’s not working, John spends time farming and raising cows and catfish. He and his wife Melissa, have two sons, Stewart and Drew.
John earned his BS from The University of Alabama (magna cum laude) and his JD from The University of Alabama School of Law.
