Steven Seidman

Attorney Steven J. Seidman, the founding member of Seidman, Margulis and Fairman, LLP, has been practicing plaintiff’s injury law for 40 years.  During that time, he has successfully tried thousands of cases to award or verdict.  Combining a tireless work ethic with a keen understanding of the law, Steve has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for the firm’s clients, securing many multi-million dollar jury verdicts. Among those, Steve obtained a $26.1 million gross verdict for a seriously injured truck driver injured in a scrapyard. Further, his verdict of $3.8 million for an attorney who contracted Legionnaire disease at the JW Marriott in Chicago was the highest reported verdict in Illinois history for that type of injury.

In addition to pursuing compensation for injuries due to the negligence of others, Steve also concentrates in workers’ compensation law, ensuring those injured at work achieve the maximum compensation afforded under the law.  Steve recently negotiated a $6 million settlement for a seriously injured police officer, believed to be the highest, if not the highest, workers’ compensation settlement in Illinois history.
