Shane Carnine

Shane Carnine received his J.D. in 2003 from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Shane’s undergraduate studies were in political science, with a semester abroad to study international law and government. While at SIU law school, he was recognized for his excellence in Corporations and Evidence and served as an Articles Editor to the Law Journal. Shane’s legal experience includes a Judicial Clerkship in the Salt Lake City Court of Appeals. Thereafter, Shane successfully practiced for over a dozen years as an insurance defense attorney. He joined Hassakis & Hassakis, P.C. in 2017 as a partner and brings unique perspectives to the practice with two decades of civil litigation and trial experience. Less than 2% of all Illinois lawyers under 40 years old received The Emerging Lawyer designation by the Leading Lawyer Network, and Mr. Carnine was profiled by the organization ten years ago.

Shane was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He and his wife Erica are the parents of twins and live in Jefferson County, Illinois.
