Kathleen M. Kearney represents severely injured clients throughout the state of Texas from her main office in Dallas. Kathleen earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College School of Nursing, and a master’s degree in advanced nursing practice from Emory University School of Nursing. She graduated from Suffolk University Law School, and was licensed as an attorney in 2006.
Kathleen is licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas, and maintains board certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (CPNP-PC).
Kathleen has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer annually since 2019. She was also considered a Rising Star from 2012 until 2018, and a Top 50 Up & Coming Woman Lawyer in Texas (Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters). As a young lawyer, Kathleen was included on Top 40 Lawyers in Texas Under 40 list by The National Trial Lawyers.
Kathleen received the Distinguished Service Award from The American Association of Nurse Attorneys in 2016, and was named Big Sister of the Year for Dallas County’s chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2014. She also served as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Kathleen currently volunteers for the Dallas Bar Association’s Legal Line. Every spring, she also volunteers to judge the state high school mock trial competition, and attends career day at a local public elementary school.
Kathleen is a member of several professional organizations including the The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. She is a trustee of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys Foundation and the treasurer for the Texas chapter of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys.
Admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas, Kathleen may also appear before the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
