Boom, you're rear-ended very, very hard. Now, the first thing that's on a lot of people's mind is, should I call the ambulance? Pro. If you're really injured and you have no one to take you to the hospital, this is the best bet. 

Con. It's expensive, so if you can avoid taking the ambulance, I would say do it.

However, it all depends on the type of symptoms that you are displaying. If you're displaying things such as blurred vision, trouble seeing, obviously don't take the ambulance. But if you're just having some radiating neck pain or some hip pain, go ahead and see if you can get someone to drive you to the hospital.
