Craig F. Schauermann, Founding Partner and Of Counsel at Schauermann Thayer, is licensed to practice law in Washington State. With nearly 40 years of experience in personal injury and wrongful death cases, he currently accepts appointments for Arbitration, Mediation, and SGAL, and serves frequently as an arbitrator. Craig earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in 1973, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1976 from the University of Puget Sound. He is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of Washington, the Western and Eastern District Federal Courts of the State of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Before establishing Schauermann Thayer in 1986, Craig began his legal career in Seattle as an associate with a small personal injury firm. He then moved to Clark County in 1979 and worked exclusively in the State of Washington, primarily in Clark County. He has been instrumental in obtaining several large verdicts, arbitration awards, and settlements for his clients.
In addition to his legal practice, Craig is a member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) and served on the Board of Governors from 1996-2001. He also served on the Political Action Committee for WSAJ from 2004-2015 and has been a WSAJ Eagle member for over 25 years. Craig was the Past President of the Clark County Bar Association and was the Chairman of the Washington State Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. He has also been a speaker at numerous legal education seminars.
In his free time, Craig enjoys playing golf, bridge, and traveling with his family. He is married with three children and six grandchildren.
